Yes, Donation Store is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)3 organization and your donations are eligible for tax deduction.
When does my donation go to the person in need?
Donation Store delivers the items in a timely manner, with some of your donations going to a certain cause that same day, where others are part of of a larger campaign that has a specific date that could be weeks away. For many campaigns Donation Store has a strategy of buying in bulk from manufacturers, wholesalers, or distributors so until there is a group of donors that have 'purchased' the minimum order amount the item will not be shipped. We attempt to launch campaigns well before the need must be met, for example backpacks campaign prior to start of school. Please check our news section for updates and outcomes of campaigns that you feel are of interest to you.
If you have these items in your inventory why not give the items to the people in need?
Donation Store does not have items in their inventory, and only purchases the items once a donor has contributed to a campaign to purchase an item. Once Donation Store receives enough funds to buy the item in bulk then Donation Store will ship the items to the person(s) in need.
How much does your staff get paid? What does the Supporter Club money go to and what are the benefits of membership?
Donation Store is a completely volunteer organization. No staff or Directors are compensated. The Supporter Club membership donations help pay for the administration expenses of the organization, including: Mailbox, fees for processing payments, web hosting of the site, and office supplies. Our current need is
$180 a month of support. Your membership into the Supporter Club or Team is an honorary membership that allows us to recognize those individuals or corporations that feel they can partner with us to make a difference. You will receive special membership news letters informing you of our goals, and activities of our site.
I'd like to help, but I do not want to use the internet to give, is there another option?

I am part or know of an organization or a family in need that I would like you to help, how can I do this?
Donation Store is always seeking items to feature on their site. There are some limitations to what we can support as part of our 501(c)3 status. If you would would like to contact us please let us know by emailing us at

What about Refund, Return, and Cancellation policies?
There are no refunds, returns, or cancellations. If you've made a donation in error, please contact us at
contact@donationstore.org. In the event that we are unable to use the funds for the specified purpose, we will restrict the funds for specific use in a similar program.
Who takes care of shipping?
The Donation Store takes care of shipping. There are no shipping costs to donors. Items are shipped to those in need once the campaign is finished.
