Donation Store IRS Application :
This is not a traditional product that we offer on this site, as it is going to help our organization meet a major milestone. We must raise $750 by the end of March to meet our goal of being able to pay for the IRS fee so that the IRS can make a determination as a 501(c)3 nonprofit.
By being recognized will allow us to apply for several grants in the Metro Detroit area as well as solicit larger Corporate donations. We are in compliance with all tax laws currently as new organizations do have a window to file this one time application. The IRS charges a fee of $750, which is something that we are asking people who care about our mission to help us raise.
Since we launched this organization in May of last year we’ve raised over $8,000 which has provided 430 Detroit Public School students backpack & school supplies as well as 288 children hats & gloves. Next year we want to expand on this program, but won’t be able to do it without you.
We’ve asked for donations in $15 increments. If 50 people decide to purchase this we will have met our goal. $75 would be 10% of our goal.
